The House
Fragrance should tell a story.
So Greenwick stopped naming scents, and started mapping them.
Greenwick began as a decade of hobbyist experimentation before becoming a Sydney-based candle house built on a single idea: fragrance should tell a story. Rather than naming scents, Greenwick maps them. Each candle is a room in an imagined estate, from the low-fire warmth of The Parlour to the incense-heavy stillness of The Chapel. Every blend is proprietary, composed from Australian fragrance oils, and poured by hand in small batches to match the room it belongs to.
The estate
The house has two main wings, east and west, grounds that have been let go, a jetty on the south shore and an orchard nobody has picked in years. Seven of its rooms have been given a fragrance. The rest are still dark.
Nothing here is a real address. That is rather the point. The rooms are built to be recognised rather than visited.
The moth
Drawn to flame rather than decorative. A moth gets into a house through a window somebody left open, and stays for the light. It appears on every label, every seal and every page.
