Care
Using Greenwick wax melts safely
Wax melts are warmed in a wax warmer, not burned. These are the things worth knowing before you use one.
Always
- Use a warmer designed for wax melts, and follow its instructions.
- Place it on a level, heat-resistant surface, well away from the edge.
- Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
- Keep it clear of curtains, paper, bedding and anything else that catches.
- Start with a small amount of wax. One piece is usually plenty, and you can add more.
Never
- Never leave a lit warmer, or a lit tealight, unattended.
- Never leave a tealight burning once the wax has gone.
- Never touch the dish or the molten wax while the warmer is on. Both get very hot.
- Never move the warmer while the wax is molten.
- Never pour molten wax down the sink. It sets and blocks pipes.
Changing fragrance
Turn the warmer off and let the wax cool and set. Lift it out with a tissue or cotton bud, or wipe the dish with kitchen paper while the wax is still warm. Then add the new wax.
Storing your melts
Keep the pack somewhere cool and out of direct sun. Wax softens in heat.
Fragrance and sensitivity
Greenwick wax melts are made from a blend of soy and palm wax with fragrance oils. If you are sensitive to fragrance, use them in a ventilated room, and stop if you have a reaction. Ask us for the fragrance details of a specific room if you need them.
