The candle · A$39

Salt air through an open door, paint peeling on the old wooden door frame, the sound of waves lapping gently on the shore outside.

Fragrance Notes

Sea salt, coconut, jasmine & sandalwood

The door has not shut properly since the last wet season and nobody has planed it back. Salt gets into everything down here, the rope, the hinges, the varnish going to powder on a hull that has not been in the water for years. Twice a day the tide comes up under the boards, and twice a day it goes out again.

A boat shed with its door propped open to a moonlit sea. A wooden hull hangs from the rafters above weathered boards, with coiled rope stacked to one side.
